What a wonderful time in the life of your family! Baptism is not simply a festive ceremonySacrament of Baptism. It is much more. Baptism is a Sacrament in which a family reaffirms their faith in Christ as Savior, and promises to raise their child in the Christian faith. The congregation at Point Pleasant Presbyterian Church also makes a promise to God that they will assist the parents in the raising of their children in the faith. It is because of these promises, the child being presented for Baptism, ordinarily, has at least one parent who is an active member of the congregation.
Parents may join our church around the time of their child’s baptism. We encourage everyone to attend our new member class (Inquirers) which is held several times each year. This gathering is an excellent way for newcomers to get to know our congregation and our faith.
Baptisms will take place on Sunday, March 4 and on Sunday, May 27th at the 10:00 a.m. worship service. For more information, please call the Church Office at 732-899-0587.
