The ladies of the Busy Hands sewing group have been working diligently this summer making cotton sundresses to be sent to Africa to be worn by little girls and young women living there. The ladies are enjoying cutting out the dresses, sewing them, and creatively decorating them with bows and ribbons so they look very stylish. The goal is to finish 40 dresses by the end of August. In September, the dresses will be sent to a Church World Service distribution center which will then ship them to Africa.
Anyone in the church is welcome to join the Busy Hands ladies in completing this project. Busy Hands meets two Tuesdays a month in the Fellowship Room at 10:00 a.m. Call the Church Office for further details.
