Sunday, October 29, we celebrate the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation. On October 31, 1517, Martin Luther sent a copy of his Ninety-Five Theses to Albert of Brandenburg, the Archbishop of Mainz, in present-day Germany. Tradition says that, about that time, Luther also nailed a copy of his revolutionary document to the door of All Saints Church and other churches in the city of Wittenberg. That event is now considered the start of the Reformation. We’ll celebrate with special music and a sermon appropriate to the occasion.
