In less than two weeks, the people from New Beginnings will be here to provide us with leadership training for the New Beginnings program. We are still seeking leaders and hosts that will be facilitators for future New Beginnings meetings.
Leaders and hosts will be fully supported through the training that will take place here at the Church on February 23 and 24th. During the training, the New Beginnings staff will make sure each leader is comfortable in the understanding and implementation of their roll.
It is our goal to offer the congregation a variety of times and locations for New Beginnings meetings, since they are key to our transition and future. The more leaders and hosts we have, the more successful the implementation of the program will be.
Hosts are needed to conduct a meeting either in their home or at the church. As a host you would be asked to provide a simple setup of space and refreshments. As a leader of a small group you would lead a group of less than 8 people in specific discussions. Both hosts and leaders cultivate a welcoming and friendly environment where people can feel free to share in the future vision for our church. New Beginnings meetings will tentatively begin in March.
Even if you are unsure if you would like to host or lead a small group, please consider joining us on Friday evening, February 23 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, February 24 from 9 to 3 p.m. to hear what the New Beginnings staff envision for our church.
This two day meeting is set up so that the Friday night meeting will be an overall orientation of the program, while the Saturday meeting will provide leaders with all the details that are needed on how they can successfully conduct planned New Beginnings meetings.
Since New Beginnings will be here in a week or so, please sign up today by contacting the Church Office at (732) 899-0587. If you are unable to attend the training but still would consider being a leader or host please let us know.
