This week we welcomed retired Army Specialist Chris Cook into our classroom on Veteran’s Day. We recited a poem for him, made him a poster/card made from our hand prints and gave him a plant and some candy to thank him for his service! We are thankful for Mr. Cook and all of our Veterans.
We were excited to donate boxes of candy to Robin Fiorentino, serving in the Air Force, and Morgan Colberg, who is serving in the Navy. This was collected by our families as part of Operation Gratitude.
We are grateful to Abilities in Action, who conducted occupational therapy and sensory screenings for our students this week.
We learned letter H. We met H the hippo puppet. We learned to say hello in different languages. Our sight word and sign language word was “hi”. We learned about hibernating and especially hedgehogs, who love to hide underground. We made horses, hedgehogs, hats, hand prints, and a Veteran’s Day craft. We sang If You’re Happy and You Know It, Head Shoulders Knees and Toes, and have been busy practicing for our upcoming Thanksgiving Shows. We hopped around outside and even played hopscotch. What a happy week!
Point Beach Prep has openings in our classes. Please call Director Devlin House at 732-701-9900 to set up a tour or to register. Come see how we make learning fun!
