We had a super busy week learning letter S! We did spin art, a scavenger hunt, and danced to silly songs. We sang Mr. Sun, Shake Your Tailfeather, Baby Shark, Cha Cha Slide, and See It Say It Sigh It. We made sharks, suns, and stamp art. Some of the books we read were Sharey the Smiling Shark, Fox in Socks, The Sun, Stone Soup, Strega Nona, and The Sneetches. Our sight word was “see”. Our Sign Language was “sit”.
We had Show and Tell and saw many items that started with S including sea shells, sunglasses, snakes, Superman, Spiderman, Snow White and much more! This reinforces many skills for them such as speaking in front of a group, listening to their friends’ stories and participating in a question and answer conversation. This week was superb!
