Dear PPPC –
Our dedicated Stewardship Season draws to a close this Sunday, as you bring your 2026 commitments to worship. If you’ve already turned yours in, thank you; and not to worry, we’ll have “I’ve already submitted my pledge” cards you can bring forward to place in the basket as your physical offering of your commitment to the life and ministry of this church.
During this season, I hope you’ve spent some time thinking or praying about the ideas that have been presented to you through this newsletter, through the two mailed letters, and in worship:
Stewardship is “the multiplicity of ways that the people of God live out God’s mission in the world using all of the abundance that God has entrusted to them” (Charles Lane and Grace Pomroy).
Have you wrestled with the understanding that faithful stewardship is actually NOT a once-a-year event, about meeting a budget, the same as fundraising, or about money in and of itself?
When it comes to your giving to the church, are you a singles hitter, a doubles hitter, or a home run hitter? No matter your style, the church needs you!
Have you prayerfully considered how your faithful stewardship response to Christ’s love for you, impacts both your spiritual life, and the work of Jesus Christ for our team here at PPPC?
Because we are, I am. Because we are the church, I am _____.
I hope you have wrestled. If you haven’t, there’s still time. See you in church.
Yours for the journey,
Pastor Molly
