Flowering the Cross

Lent is over –

and we ring bells –

and we sing alleluias –

and we flower the cross because God’s creation laughs at the instruments of death.

Death has lost.

And we shout together: Alleluia! The Lord is Risen!

The Lord is risen indeed, alleluia!

On the way in or out of the sanctuary on Sunday, take a moment to add some of the provided flowers to our cross, built by Joe Decker & Tony Coppolino.

It is yet another way we show that death will not have the last word. The cross, once an instrument of death, is now a symbol of hope and new life!
