Helping Refugees

Thanks to all of you who partnered with Interfaith-RISE in our May Mission project. We have received several messages of appreciation from the Volunteer Coordinator, Herminia, for all the vital housekeeping items that have arrived in their headquarters in Vineland to distribute among refugee families who are resettling in South Jersey.

This last week of our project, I-RISE received Crayola School Kits and a used bike and helmet. Also, with donations PPPC has received from our congregation, we have begun searching for one or two more bicycles that can be used for transportation to jobs, grocery stores, and classes. If you have not yet joined in the fun, why not contribute toward that much-needed item?

Finally, this week we learned of the high need for backpacks for those attending classes to learn English. If you have access to Amazon Prime and free shipping, the following link was sent to us by Herminia: Amazon.com:

Although our mission effort is ending on May 31, you may wish to continue your partnership personally with Interfaith-RISE South Office. Their address is I-RISE, South Office, 2384 East Landis Avenue, Vineland, NJ 08361 Attention: Herminia Nava, Volunteer Coordinator.
