“Hymnody 2.0” Christian Education for Adults

CHRISTIAN EDUCATION FOR ADULTS
“HYMNODY 2.O”
JUNE 9 IN THE CHOIR ROOM 11:00am

St. Augustine once wrote, “He who sings prays twice”. Indeed, the hymns we sing in worship are for many of us, a kind of prayer. Come join with others as we study together hymns and songs of praise we use in worship. This study, called hymnody, helps us to know the background, history and deeper meaning of the music of our faith. This course of study is the follow-up to last year’s study on early hymnody. This year we will look at the “golden age” of hymns through to contemporary and ecumenical hymns. Singing is not required! Come and bring a friend. Pastor Eileen will facilitate the discussion.
